Saban Films have produced a Santa Claus film like none other in Fatman, which sees Mel Gibson portray a grizzled Chris Cringle. The indie movie is an unconventional and dark comedic take on the legend of Santa, which sees the beloved character being hunted down by an assassin.
The story unfolds with a jaded Chris
Cringle, who thanks to his declining business decides to enter a partnership
with the U.S. military. To make matters worse, he also has to contend with a
highly-skilled hitman (Walton Goggins) who has been hired by a precocious
12-year-old boy (Chance Hurstfield) after receiving a lump of coal for
Christmas.
Stuck in the cross-hairs with his new partners, whilst struggling to maintain
his legacy and facing a deadly killer, Fatman
is an unconventional holiday movie that probably fits well with how 2020
has turned out already.
Fatman arrives on digital platforms in mid-November.
