Fast & Furious 7 has been shortened to Furious 7, but that won’t change the interest behind the sequel. By all accounts, Furious 7 should be right up there as one of the top five most anticipated movies of 2015, largely due to the death of series star Paul Walker last year.
Directed by James Wan, Furious 7 continues with the storyline that was set at the end of Fast & Furious 6 with Shaw’s brother played by Jason Statham seeking revenge for the death of his brother. The new adventure brings back franchise stars Vin Diesel, Paul Walker, Jordana Brewster, Michelle Rodriguez, Dwayne Johnson along with returning Tokyo Drift star Lucas Black and new additions Jason Statham and Kurt Russell.
Universal Pictures have released a new banner promoting the film, along with its new title as well as U.S opening date and a promise of the first trailer within the week. The announcement was made on the film’s Facebook page with a call for fans to submit questions with the #AskFurious7 hashtag for the stars at an upcoming event on 1 November, where the first trailer will be dropped.
Furious 7 opens in cinemas April 2015.
