The Von Erich family was arguably pro-wrestling’s most iconic and well-known family. However it remains a story that is rooted in tragedy. In the trailer for The Iron Claw, we see that narrative play out with Zac Efron and Jeremy Allen White portraying Kevin and Kerry Von Erich.
Directed by Sean Durkin, the A24 film shines a spotlight on the Von Erich family, who are widely considered a true pro-wrestling dynasty. However, it is a story that does not have a happy ending as the Von Erichs faced heart-breaking tragedies.
Efron stars as Kevin, who ultimately became the sole surviving member of the family. Although achieving success in the squared circle, their legacy was marred by several suicides and untimely deaths. Their heart-breaking story led many fans to believe that the family was cursed.
As seen in The Iron Claw trailer, the film also stars Harris Dickinson, Maura Tierney, Stanley Simons, Holt McCallany and Lily James. Check out the trailer below. The film arrives in cinemas in late December.
