Action star Vin Diesel isn’t short of any film projects in the next few years, but he’s focusing on Furia, the next instalment to the Riddick franchise. As with most of his projects, the actor took to social media to make the announcement. According to his post on Facebook, Diesel announced that both he and director David Twohy will be looking to make a new film, which could be due out as early as 2017. The film will reportedly expand the mythology behind Riddick and will be rated R, much like the original film Pitch Black, which introduced us to the character.
First Look: Jackie
Natalie Portman is taking on the mantle of one of the most popular first ladies of all time in Jackie, a bio pic that revolves around the life of Jacqueline Kennedy. According to the official synopsis, the Pablo Larraín directed film will focus on the life of the first lady leading up to tragic assassination of President John F Kennedy and the events thereafter. Portman will be joined by Peter Sarsgaard, Greta Gerwig, and John Hurt in the film, which is currently filming on location. Jackie is slated for a 2017 release.
Dawn of Justice Character Posters
With Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice expected to be one of the biggest films of2016, Warner Bros. has released three character posters depicting the main heroes of the superhero ensemble film. The three mainstay heroes get their respective posters which offer a closer look at the DC superheroes. The odd one sticking out in the first character posters seems to be the Dark Knight himself, which sees the hero in a high-tech suit of armour, much like another playboy billionaire turned superhero tends to have. Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice opens in theatres March 2016.
First Look: Kindergarten Cop 2
Arnold Schwarzenegger’s Kindergarten Cop is one of the actor’s most beloved films and now after 25 years, it’s finally spawned a sequel. But Arnie’s not back in the fold portraying the undercover teacher, as he’s been replaced by Dolph Lundgren. Kindergarten Cop 2 sees the actor portraying Agent Reed who has to go undercover in a kindergarten to investigate a case. Don’t look out for this film opening in cinemas though as it’s going to be released exclusively on DVD and Blu-Ray.
President Obama Joins Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee
Fresh off his appearance in Running Wild with Bear Grylls, President Barack Obama will now appear as a guest in season 7 of Jerry Seinfeld’s Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee. The comedy web series will see Seinfeld and President Obama taking a spin in a classic car around the grounds of the White House. The President will roll out the first episode of the seventh season when it debuts on 30th December on Crackle.
