The film will see Sly reprise his iconic role as boxer Rocky Balboa who takes the son of his old one-time-rival-turned-friend, Apollo Creed under his wing. Michael B. ANGEL OR ARCHANGEL?
X-Men: Apocalypse is certainly teasing to be rather epic with the addition of several familiar mutants to the team. Just last week the production welcomed Olivia Munn to the fray, who will be portraying fan-favourite Psylocke. But we have to say we’re more intrigued with Angel who will be played by Ben Hardy. Judging the concept art that has been released, it seems that the actor might be taking on the character’s alter ego, Archangel instead. In the comic book timeline, Angel ended up as one of the four horsemen of Apocalypse and based on this concept art pieces, it looks that storyline may just play out in the next X-Men film.
WONDER WOMAN LOSES ITS DIRECTOR
Looks like there’s trouble brewing in Paradise [Island] now that director Michelle MacLaren has dropped out of the Wonder Woman project. “Given creative differences, Warner Bros. and Michelle MacLaren have decided not to move forward with plans to develop and direct Wonder Woman together,” read the official statement, which has now left Warner looking for a new director to helm the superhero project. MacLaren was set to make her feature film directorial debut after gaining recognition for helming episodes of The Walking Dead and Game of Thrones. Wonder Woman is due to hit cinemas in June 2017, so there’s still ample time to scramble for a new director.
