Cameras are rolling on the third instalment to Thor down under with Chris Hemsworth reprising his role as the God of Thunder. Thor: Ragnarok will be directed by director Taika Waititi, also boasts an ensemble cast, which includes Cate Blanchett as Hela, Tessa Thompson as the warrior Valkyrie, Karl Urban as villain Skurge and Jeff Goldblum as The Grandmaster. Rounding up Thor: Ragnarok are returning cast members Tom Hiddleston, Idris Elba, Anthony Hopkins and Mark Ruffalo. The film is scheduled to land in November 2017.

First Look: Autobot Drift
autobot_driftMichael Bay is hard at work putting together the latest Transformers adventure for the big screen. In addition to pulling stars from the previous trilogy and the new one, Transformers: The Last Knight will also feature some new cool robots and vehicles. The latest character to receive an overhaul is Autobot warrior, Drift who has shed his Bugatti Veyron skin for a Mercedes AMG GTR. Ken Watanabe voiced Drift in the last Transformers: Age of Extinction and it remains to be seen if the Japanese actor will return for the sequel.

Star Wars Rebels Season 3 Plans
star_wars_rebels3It looks like Disney’s Star Wars Rebels animated series could pave the way towards future Star Wars movies. That doesn’t mean that the Ghost crew could make a live action appearance but there’s definitely a chance for characters from the series to appear in future Star Wars movies and vice versa as well. A perfect example is the character of Saw Gerrera who featured in Star Wars: The Clone Wars. The character will be portrayed by Forest Whitaker in Star Wars: Rogue One, due out later this year. Let’s see what transpires in Star Wars Rebels Season 3 due out later this year.

Game of Thrones Season 7 Delayed
Ironically the upcoming season of Game of Thrones will be delayed for a while due to winter. This is certainly irony for show that is famous for its ‘Winter is Coming’ tagline. According to showrunner, David Benioff, the production of Game of Thrones Season 7 will start later due to the end of the season in order to capitalise on the grim, grey weather the show is renowned for.According to speculation, the new season may drop somewhere near mid 2017 due to this delay.

Tomb Raider Reboot Gets Release Date
The new Tomb Raider film starring Alicia Vikander as Lara Croft has gotten a spring 2018 release date. Warner Bros will release the film in spring that year but no details have been released as yet. According to rumours, the new Tomb Raider film will serve as a total reboot for the franchise with an origin story for Lara Croft. Roar Uthaug, who previously directed The Wave is helming the film, which will be a co-production between MGM and Warner Bros.
