With a tonne of press surrounding Terminator Genisys, Arnold Schwarzenegger fans may have forgotten that the action star will also reprise another iconic role in Legend of Conan. The film is due out next year and fans will be pleased to know that the film will be an extension of the 1982 classic, Conan complete with an R rating as well. Producer and co-writer made the announcement on TheArnoldFans.com where he also reveals there will be at least three characters from Conan The Barbarian who will appear in Legend of Conan. The film is due out November 2016.
Twin Peaks S3 Is Here To Stay
After nearly getting derailed by development issues, Showtime’s revival of Twin Peaks is finally underway and in a big way too. First series creator David Lynch is officially back in the director’s chair for the long-overdue third season and it’s even coming back with a double 18-episode order. Twin Peaks stars Sheryl Lee and Sherilyn Fenn made the announcement at Seattle Crypticon, which also included tit bits about the return of the iconic Double R diner. Twin Peaks S3 is in production.
League Of Extraordinary Gentlemen Reboot Planned
The Alan Moore graphic novel, League of Extraordinary Gentlemen could be heading for a reboot at 20th Century Fox. The cult comic book depicted a super group consisting of Victorian literary characters such as Captain Nemo, Allan Quatermain and Mina Harker amongst others taking on a worldwide threat perpetrated by infamous villains like Professor James Moriarty. The book was adapted into a film in 2003 film which starred Sean Connery, Stuart Townsend and Peta Wilson. The new reboot is aimed to spearhead a new franchise for Fox.
Gambit Without A Director
What do Bennett Miller, Darren Aronofsky, Gareth Evans and J.C. Chandor have in common? They’re all high profile directors who have turned down the opportunity to direct X-Men spinoff, Gambit. Channing Tatum is set to star as the titular character with filming set to begin sometime this year in order for the film to meet its October 2016 release date. However with the production still looking for a director, it remains to be seen if they can make that release date in time. The good news is though is that Tatum is raring to go as the iconic mutant and it’s already got a completed script too.
