Frank Miller’s celebrated comic book will be heading to the small screen thanks to Dimension and TWC. The project is said to be a fresh take on the characters of the beloved comic book. The series will be worked on by The Walking Dead and The Omen showrunner Glen Mazarra and Underworld director Len Wiseman, who will helm the pilot. Sin City is a cult classic in the literary world and it spawned a live-action movie under the helm of Robert Rodriguez. It also spawned a sequel, A Dame To Kill For in 2014.
The Boss Baby 2 Confirmed
Hard to imagine but The Boss Baby is getting a sequel. The DreamWorks animated movie, featuring the voice of Alec Baldwin has been a sleeper hit for the studio. To date, the animated comedy has pulled in over USD450 million at the box-office. Now DreamWorks and Universal Pictures will be going ahead with The Boss Baby 2, which is expected to be released in March 2021. Alec Baldwin is expected to return for the sequel.
First Look: Mountain Between Us
The first photo release of survival drama, The Mountain Between Us has been released with the two main leads. The film is based on a novel, which tells the story of a brilliant surgeon and photojournalist who charter a plane together. However enroute to their destination, their plane crashes leaving them to survive in the harsh freezing wilderness. The film is scheduled to be released in cinemas sometime in October.
Godzilla vs. Kong Gets A Director
The mega monster project that will link both Godzilla and King Kong franchises has reportedly found its director in Adam Wingard. The director, who has made a name for himself with low-budget thrillers, will be helming the important franchise film for both Legendary and Warner Bros. Wingard, who most recently helmed the Death Note adaptation for Netflix, is indeed a surprise choice as Godzilla vs. Kong is a massive production, which will form the centrepiece of Legendary’s monster movie franchise.
The Deuce Trailer
HBO has released the first trailer for its new original series, The Deuce, which is based on the 70s pornographic industry. Created by George Pelecanos and David Simon and starring James Franco and Maggie Gyllenhaal, the series follows the story of the legalization and subsequent rise of the porn industry in New York’s Times Square from the early 1970s through the mid-1980s, exploring the rough-and-tumble world at the pioneering moments of what would become the billion-dollar American sex industry.
Tales From The Crypt Reboot Is Dead
Horror film fans will be in for some bad news as the upcoming reboot for Tales from the Crypt is officially done for. According to TNT, the television series is now off the shelf die to a rights issue. M. Night Shyamalan who has teased a return to form with both Split and The Visit was tapped to helm the TV series. Nevertheless this doesn’t mean that we won’t see Tales from the Crypt in the future. Especially once those pesky rights issues have worked themselves out.
