Looks like old TV shows are cool again. Joining the X-Files and Heroes revival comes Prison Break, which will see the incarcerated brothers return for more breakouts. We’re not sure how this one will work seeing that Michael Scofield (Wentworth Miller) apparently kicked the bucket at the end of season four but we’re pretty sure, Fox will find a way. Slated to return is co-star Dominic Purcell, who incidentally stars alongside Miller in the upcoming CW Series, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow. The series is expected to air sometime next year.
Max Von Sydow Joins Game of Thrones
Veteran actor Max Von Sydow has inked a deal to join Game of Thrones Season 6, playing none other than the Three-Eyed Raven. The actor joining the HBO series is considered a major coup considering his vast experience. Also joining the upcoming season is another veteran actor in Ian McShane who will reportedly have a major role in the HBO series. Many speculate the actor to be portraying the Mad King in flashbacks but this can’t be confirmed at this time. McShane previously starred in Deadwood, another HBO series which ran for three seasons.
Meet The Hawkman
DC’s Legends of Tomorrow on The CW will be adding another iconic character to the ensemble television series. This time around it will be none other than Hawkman, which will be played by Falk Hentschel. The actor will star as Carter Hall and he won’t be the only winged wonder on the show as he will be joined by Ciara Renee, who will portray Kendra Saunders, a.k.a. Hawkgirl. With The CW warming up to the idea of a Hawkgirl series, it would seem that Falk could find himself a semi-permanent role on TV in the near future.
Ali Larter Rejoins Resident Evil
Good news for fans of Resident Evil and Ali Larter because the actress is set to reprise her role as Claire Redfield in Resident Evil: The Final Chapter. Production of the film is set to begin next month in South Africa with Milla Jovovich once again in the starring role. Larter previously featured in three Resident Evil films and many expect this chapter to be the final one for the series. No other stars have been inked to return to the franchise so far but that may change once production starts. Resident Evil: The Final Chapter opens in theatres in 2016.
Colin Farrell Joins Fantastic Beasts
Fresh starring in the hit HBO series True Detective Season 2, Colin Farrell has now inked a deal to star in Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them. With the addition of the Irish actor, it would seem that the Harry Potter spinoff is no way short of star power. Ferrell will be joined by a cast made up off Eddie Redmayne, Katherine Waterston, Ezra Miller and Dan Fogler. According to reports, Farrell will play Graves, wizard who resides in New York. Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them hits theatres in November 2016.
