The Power Rangers reboot is in full swing at Saban and now the studio has revealed the first look at the new costumes. The new costumes evoke more of an exoskeleton feel compared to the regular costumes from the series. Previously, Saban revealed a first look at Elizabeth Banks’ Rita Repulsa and judging by these new unveils, it would seem the reboot is going to be a lot darker compared to the campy 90s series. Star Trek Series To Begin Production
Great news for Star Trek fans because a new television series is heading into space dock. The new Star Trek TB series will be available exclusively on CBS’ streaming service, CBS All Access. The sci-fi series is set to begin production later this year in Canada and it will introduce new characters seeking imaginative new worlds and new civilizations, while exploring the dramatic contemporary themes that have been a signature of the franchise since its inception in 1966. The new series is expected to air in 2017.
Blues Brothers Animated Series
The Blues Brothers are returning and this in animated form in a new series produced by original star Dan Aykroyd. According to reports, the new Blues Brothers animated series will be a half-hour prime time comedy adventure series that continues the exploits of Jake and Elwood Blues. Music, specifically rhythm and blues will be one of the focal points of the new series. The Blues Brothers was created from a skit on Saturday Night Live in the late 70s. The film spawned a film in 1980, which became an instant hit.
Interview with the Vampire Remake
Universal Pictures is apparently moving forward with an Interview with the Vampire remake. The news comes off an Instagram post by director Josh Boone who posted up a cover of the finished script. Universal owns a number of vampire related properties including Anne Rice’s The Vampire Chronicles novel series, including Interview With the Vampire, Queen of the Damned and The Vampire Lestat. It is unknown at this point of time when Universal intends to produce the remake.
Infinity War Gets Retitled
Avengers: Infinity War Part 1 & 2 looks set to receive new titles according to directors Anthony and Joe Russo. The ensemble film, which promises to be the biggest Marvel film yet, is set for release in summer 2018 and 2019 respectively. Little is known about the film except that it revolves around the Mad Titan, Thanos who wants to wield control over the Infinity Stones. The film is expected to pull together the entire Marvel Cinematic Universe as part of its storyline.
