Warner Bros has put out a new photo from the upcoming Justice League film and it showcases the superhero team lining up for a snap shot. Although it looks cool, one notable absence is one of the key members of the Justice League, which is Superman. Thus far, the trailers as well as images from the production have omitted Superman, which begs the question, what role will the Man of Steel have to play in this film. We’ll find out when Justice League opens in cinemas at the end of 2017.
Frank Sinatra Biopic On Hold
It looks like the upcoming Frank Sinatra biopic could be put back on the shelf. According to a recent interview, celebrated filmmaker Martin Scorsese who was at the helm of the project, cited that the biopic is now on hiatus due to Sinatra’s estate not being comfortable with certain elements that were supposed to be addressed in the film. “We can’t do it!…I think it is finally over,” said Scorsese. “They (remaining members of the Sinatra clan) won’t agree to it. Open it up again and I’m there!”
Keegan-Michael Key Joins The Predator
Funnyman, Keegan-Michael Key is the latest addition to Shane Black’s upcoming Predator reboot. The movie is heading towards production and the project has already assembled most of its leads. Joining Key will be Trevante Rhodes, Olivia Munn and Boyd Holbrook. The Predator is being developed as a reboot to the franchise with hopes that it revitalises the sci-fi series. Black starred in the original Predator film so there’s a big plus point for fans. The Predator is pencilled to open in February 2018.
Constantine Returns
Although the Constantine series failed to strike a massive chord with audiences to warrant a second season from NBC, the franchise though will continue albeit in animated form. The series will live-on for now on the online platform, The CW Seed with several episodes to be produced in short form format. Actor, Matt Ryan will return to voice the character, which he recently did in a recent WB DC Animated movie. The actor also reprised his role in a Season 4 episode of Arrow, hinting that Constantine could make a return at some point in the near future.
CW Renews Superhero Series
Good news for fans of The Flash, Arrow, Legends of Tomorrow and Supergirl because The CW Network has greenlit another season for each respective series. Also coming back is Supernatural, which is amazing considering how long the series has run. The DC Superhero line-up though is what fans will be more interested in considering how The CW has weaved a connectivity of sorts between each respective show. With crossover appeal and decent ratings, it will be interesting to see where The CW will take each respective property to in the near future.
