The CW has released a first official look at Hawkman and Hawkgirl from the upcoming Legends of Tomorrow. Played by Falk Hentschel (Carter Hall/Hawkman) and Ciara Renee (Kendra Saunders/Hawkgirl), we admit they indeed look the part. Legends of Tomorrow will see a number of DC Heroes hit the small screen in an ensemble series, which will feature characters from both CW series’ The Flash and Arrow. The series will also feature Victor Garber, Brandon Routh, Dominic Purcell and Wentworth Miller.
Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters 2 Updates
The sequel to Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters has been in development limbo but new information has been revealed by visual artist Steven Ilous. According to Illous, the early draft to the sequel was titled Hansel & Gretel: Death’s Messengers and it was reportedly supposed to introduce zombies and a new villain called the High Priestess into the picture. It’s not known at this time if this premise will continue as Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters 2is still in development with no word yet on when production will begin. Both Jeremy Renner and Gemma Arterton are expected to reprise their roles in the sequel.
First Look: Bourne 5
Production on the fifth instalment to the Bourne franchise is underway and producer Frank Marshall has seen it fit to show the world a first look at the upcoming film. “First day of principal photography complete and happy to report, BOURNE is back! #Bourne2016”, was the Tweet Marshall sent out along with a set photo showcasing Matt Damon lacing up for a fight. Bourne 5 will see Damon’s Bourne character square off against Vincent Cassel’s villainous character, which is set in the realm of espionage and politics in a ‘post-Snowden world’.
King Kong vs Godzilla
It looks as if cinema’s two iconic monsters are set to throw down against one another in one epic movie. Although the premise sounds outlandish, even more so as Legendary is gearing up for a new partnership with Warner Bros. This could result in both King Kong and Godzilla appearing in a joint-movie after their respective solo projects in the next few years. Godzilla 2 is slated for a 2018 release with Kong: Skull Island still currently in production. Incidentally, both characters tangled before in a Japanese made production back in the 60s.
Jessica Jones Teaser
Netflix has released the first teaser for Marvel’s Jessica Jones. Although it doesn’t reveal much, the teaser does reveal one major titbit that fans will find enticing – its airdate. According to the teaser, Marvel’s Jessica Jones will air on 20th November in the U.S. The series will also tie into other Netflix-Marvel series such as Daredevil, Luke Cage and Iron Fist, which will lead into a Defenders series featuring all four characters. Jessica Jones’ will have 13 one hour episodes for Season 1.
