Fans of the cult comedy classic will be happy to know that MacGruber 2 may well see the light of day. According to recent reports, the sequel to the 2010 cult classic is currently in development with a script in the works. The 2010 film was a spoof of MacGyver, which starred Will Forte in the lead as a bumbling secret agent. The film also starred Ryan Phillippe and Kristen Wiig along with memorable cameos from WWE superstars as well.
Stan Lee’s Cameos To Continue
Although in his early 90s, Stan Lee is showing no signs of slowing down by constantly appearing in memorable cameos in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Beginning in 2000 in X-Men, Stan Lee has appeared in 26 Marvel films thus far and that number is set to increase as it appears the Marvel man has already filmed four cameos thus far for future projects. Obviously, we’ll see him in the upcoming Doctor Strange film and most likely in Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol. 2, Spider-Man: Homecoming, and Thor: Ragnarok, all of which will be released by the end of next year.
The Strain Renewed For Final Season
It looks like FX is gearing up for the fourth and final season of The Strain. The vampire series has thus far run for three seasons but the fourth season due out next year will mark the final run of the show. The vampire series created by Guillermo del Toro revolves around an outbreak in New York City, which ties back to an ancient evil. The series made its debut in grand form but has since slowed down. Let’s hope the fourth season picks up the pace and ties up all loose ends to this vampire series for good.
Adventure Time To End With Season 9
All good things must come to an end and for Adventure Time it will fold its tent after Season 9. Cartoon Network made the announcement regarding its Emmy-winning animated series and how it as changed the definition of animated and kids’ TV series the world over. Currently in production, the new series will officially end sometime in 2018. Most recently, The Simpsons paid homage to Adventure Time’s opening credits in season 8’s highly-popular cough gag.
Justice Society of America
Another stable of superheroes will debut soon and this time it’s the Justice Society of America. The golden age superhero group will appear in DC’s Legends of Tomorrow in an upcoming episode where they journey to Nazi-occupied Paris. In the Season 2 episode titled Team Work but the legends and the JSA have to combine forces in order for the former to complete their mission.
