With his role as Superman still up in the air (pun intended), Henry Cavill has honed his talents for The Witcher, which will premiere on Netflix in 2019. Based on the best-selling fantasy series, The Witcher is an epic tale of fate and family. Cavill stars as Geralt of Rivia, a solitary monster hunter, struggles to find his place in a world where people often prove more wicked than beasts. But when destiny hurtles him toward a powerful sorceress, and a young princess with a dangerous secret, the three must learn to navigate the increasingly volatile Continent together.
Michael Keaton Joins King of the Jungle
The story of tech magnate, John McAfee will be brought to the silver screen in the biopic, King of the Jungle. Michael Keaton is set to star as the computer antivirus pioneer who famously cashed out his fortune built on the back of the McAfee Antivirus software and moved to Belize. Seth Rogen will play a tech journalist in the film who tracks down McAfee for an interview only to find himself pulled into the somewhat strange life of guns, sex and murder.
First Look: All Is True
After starring and producing a number of Shakespeare adaptations, Kenneth Branagh will now portray the playwright himself in All Is True, which chronicles the life of William Shakespeare in a later part of his life. Like some of his past productions, Branagh will pull double duty on the film as both actor and director and he’s already assembled a great cast to bring All Is True to life. The film will also feature Judi Dench and Ian McKellen and is set to open in December 2019.
Attack on Titan Live-Action Movie
Beloved manga and anime series, Attack on Titan looks primed and ready to receive a live-action treatment at Warner Bros. The film, which revolves around a world where humans have to contend and fight enormous man-eating giants, will reportedly be directed by IT Director Andy Muschietti. Attack on Titan was first introduced as a manga series in 2009 before it was adapted into an anime television series in 2013. The series is currently airing on Netflix.
Vanessa Kirby Joins Hobbs & Shaw
Dwayne Johnson has shared another on-set photo from Fast & Furious spinoff, Hobbs & Shaw, featuring Vanessa Kirby. Fresh off her appearance in Mission: Impossible- Fallout, the British actress is once again honing her talents in the action genre portraying MI6 operative, Hattie Shaw. Kirby will play Deckard Shaw’s (Jason Statham) sister in the film. No plot details have been revealed as yet but the film will see Idris Elba star as the villain in this action vehicle. Hobbs & Shaw is due out in cinemas in August 2019.
New Scenes For PG-13 Deadpool 2
It looks like it will not be a complete rehash with all the nasty bits cut out from Deadpool 2 for the PG-13 release of the film. Apparently, director David Leitch and Ryan Reynolds plus some cast members from the R-Rated superhero film dived back into production to shoot additional scenes for this family-friendly version of the superhero sequel. The PG-13 Deadpool 2 film will arrive in cinemas in the United States in December 2018.
