Mel Gibson is directing Andrew Garfield in a World War 2 drama based on a true story. The film, Hacksaw Ridge is based on the real-life account of U.S. Army Private Desmond T. Doss, who despite refusing to kill or carry a weapon, managed to save 75 soldiers during the Battle of Okinawa. Hacksaw Ridge also stars Vince Vaughn, Sam Worthington, Luke Bracey, Teresa Palmer, and Rachel Griffiths. Incidentally, this marks Gibson’s first directorial effort for over a decade.
Vin Diesel Updates On Furious 8
With fan interest higher than ever thanks to a massive USD1 billion haul at the box-office, plans are underway with the eighth instalment to the Fast & Furious franchise. Taking to social media once more to address his fans and announce his upcoming projects, franchise star, Vin Diesel shed a little light on the upcoming sequel. According to his Facebook post, Diesel revealed that no director has been named yet for the sequel and that Furious 8 will begin the final trilogy to end the Fast & Furious saga.
First Look: The Revenant
Leonardo DiCaprio is starring in Alejandro Gonzalez Iñárritu’s upcoming adventure/drama, The Revenant. Based on a true story, the film sees the actor portray veteran explorer, Hugh Glass who has to fend for himself in the wild after a savage bear attack. The film boasts an all-star cast made up off Tom Hardy, Domnhall Gleeson, and Will Poulter. It will be interesting to see what sort of chemistry Iñárritu and DiCaprio bring to life on screen in this one. The Revenant is expected to be released in January 2016.
Disney Moves With Enchanted 2
It’s been eight years since Disney released the live-action fairy tale, Enchanted and now it seems they are finally moving forward with a sequel. According to reports, the sequel will be titled Disenchanted but no official storyline or synopsis or casting details have been revealed as yet. Enchanted, which starred Amy Adams, Patrick Dempsey and James Marsden was a sizeable hit for Disney in 2007, raking in over USD350 million at the box-office. It will be interesting to see what direction Disenchanted will take when it begins production.
Christmas Dinner At Hogwarts
Warner Bros. Studio Tour in London has set up the definitive experience for all Harry Potter fans this Christmas. Fans can sign up for an authentic Christmas dinner in Hogwarts dinner hall itself on 3rd December 2015. The one-of-a-kind experience takes placed in the Great Hall used in the Harry Potter films and encompasses a dinner, Butterbeer, a character wand, drinks and an entrance to the Studio Tour. The first ever ‘Dinner in the Great Hall’ which costs £230 per head will take place from 6pm until midnight and is open to over 18s only.
