The highly-anticipated sequel, Deadpool 2 has officially begun production in Canada. The sequel will see Ryan Reynolds reprise his role as Wade Wilson/ Deadpool with David Leith taking over the director’s chair from Tim Miller. Also returning are Stefan Kapicic and Brianna Hildebrand who will star as Colossus and Negasonic Teenage Warhead respective. The first set photo from Deadpool 2 Tweeted out by Reynolds to announce the start production sees Deadpool lying down outside the iconic X-Mansion.
Pitch Perfect 3 Wraps
Fans of the musical comedy franchise, Pitch Perfect don’t have to wait long for the next instalment as Pitch Perfect 3 has just wrapped production. To celebrate the end of production, the cast and crew released an official wrap reel on YouTube. Pitch Perfect 3 will see stars Rebel Wilson and Anna Kendrick returning along with Hailee Steinfeld and Brittany Snow. Pitch Perfect 3 is directed by Trish Sie and will open in cinemas in December 2017.
Star Trek: Discovery Airdate Announced
Star Trek fans will need to bookmark September 24, because that’s when the new series, Star Trek: Discovery will finally premiere. According to the official release, the new series will be divided into two chapters, which will efffectively break the 15-episode series into two parts. The second series will air in January 2018 on CBS. In select international markets, Star Trek: Discovery will air across streaming platform, Netflix.
Superman spotted In New Justice League Poster
After being noticeably missing in all Justice League posters, set photos as well as teasers and trailers, iconic superhero, Superman has finally emerged from out of the shadows. The poster, which was tweeted out also claimed that a new Justice League Trailer will debut at Comic-Con on 22 July. With Joss Whedon now at the helm, it would seem that the director has no qualms about allowing DC’s most iconic superhero into the fold to promote the upcoming film.
Carnage Confirmed For Venom Movie
The Spider-Man spinoff, Venom will feature Carnage as its main antagonist according to recent reports. Sony is evidently keen on expanding its superhero universe with this news. Still, the fact that Venom will not be linked to Spider-Man poses some confusion. So it will be interesting to see how Sony explains that issue. Venom will star Tom Hardy as Eddie Brock a.k.a. Venom with Ruben Fleischer of Gangster Squad directing. The film is scheduled for October 2018.
