Fans of the Monsterverse will be stoked to learn that a sequel to Godzilla vs Kong is coming soon. The latest entry in the Kaiju monster franchise sees Godzilla and Kong come together again on the big screen.
Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire follows up the explosive showdown of Godzilla vs. Kong with an all-new cinematic adventure. The new film pits the almighty Kong and the fearsome Godzilla against a colossal undiscovered threat hidden within our world, challenging their very existence – and our own.
The Godzilla vs Kong sequel will delve further into the histories of these Titans, their origins, and the mysteries of Skull Island and beyond, while uncovering the mythic battle that helped forge these extraordinary beings and tied them to humankind forever.
Hyping up the announcement, Legendary Pictures has unveiled an all-new teaser with Kong sitting on his throne. Although the two lead stars are CGI-generated, the film will see the return of Godzilla vs Kong stars, Rebecca Hall, Brian Tyree Henry and Kaylee Hottle. Also starring in the new film are Dan Stevens, Fala Chen, and Rachel House.
Adam Wingard returns to direct Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire. The film arrives in cinemas in March 2024. There is also a Skull Island anime, which is due to arrive on Netflix soon.
