Malaysia’s favourite twins, Upin & Ipin will be gracing the Dewan Filharmonik PETRONAS’ (DFP) stage in an exciting collaboration with the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra (MPO) on Sunday, 14 October 2018 at 2.30 pm.

Upin & Ipin is a 3D animated series produced by Les’ Copaque Production Sdn. Bhd. and is one of the most popular animated series in Malaysia. It received excellent reviews and steadfastly averages around 800, 000 viewers per episode. The series is a spin-off of the company’s debut feature film Geng: Pengembaraan Bermula.

The series is about 5-year-old twin boys, the titular Upin and Ipin, who tell stories of their everyday lives through fun and amusing actions with their friends while also learning new things during their day to day activities. Like other children, Upin and Ipin are very mischievous and often find themselves getting into trouble, most of the time with their teenage Sister, Ros.

In this family-themed concert, the brothers are all set to travel from the idyllic Kampung Durian Runtuh to the hustle and bustle of the big city with the assistance of the MPO musicians.

The audience will be immersed by the screening of the animation with ‘live’ accompaniment music by the MPO through songs such as Kompang Dipalu, Terima Kasih Cikgu, Ketipak Ketipung, Luar Biasa, Sahabat Selamanya, Bangau Oh Bangau and some light-hearted classical music.

The MPO will be led by its Resident Conductor, Naohisa Furusawa. Also to be featured are the KL Children’s Choir and PERMATA Seni Koir. The concert will be helmed by presenter Nell Ng.

Tickets for Upin & Ipin with the MPO are priced as the following: Premium: RM122, A Reserve: RM94, B Reserve: RM75, C Reserve: RM47.
