We’re in the final quarter of 2014 and we’re about to be treated to the final run of movies for the year. Although it’s not nearly as close as the summer movie season, the last couple of months of 2014 will nevertheless still deliver a tonne of excitement and entertainment, especially with movies like these that are set to be released…
INTERSTELLAR

Christopher Nolan’s Sci-Fi adventure will send Matthew McConaughey and Anne Hathaway into the outer limits of space. The film will revolve around a team of explorers who are sent on a mission that will allow them to traverse the galaxy via a wormhole in order to find an alternate home to earth. Interstellar also stars Jessica Chastain, Michael Caine and Casey Affleck.
BIG HERO 6
Release Date: 13 November
Disney’s animated adventure zeroes in on a group of superheroes who reside in a fictional metropolis called San Fransokyo. Big Hero 6 will centre upon a young prodigy named Hiro Hamada who creates a robot bodyguard called Baymax and joins forces with a group of superhuman operatives to help protect their beloved city.
PENGUINS OF MADAGASCAR
Release Date: 27 November
Skipper, Kowalski, Rico and Private, whom you know better as the madcap Penguins from Madagascar are back for their own adventure. The fearless foursome embarks on a dangerous mission to stop a diabolical villain from putting an end to their species. Helping them are a group of elite heroes known as The North Wind headed by Classified, a wolf voiced by Benedict Cumberbatch.
HOBBIT: BATTLE OF THE FIVE ARMIES
Release Date: 18 December
Peter Jackson’s epic conclusion to J.R.R. Tolkien’s The Hobbit trilogy draws to a close with this final chapter. The adventure will conclude with an all-out battle involving the dragon Smaug, men, elves, orcs and dwarves as Bilbo’s life hangs in the balance. Will the hobbit’s quest to help reclaim the lost Dwarf Kingdom of Erebor with Thorin be a successful one?
NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM

The Night at the Museum series brings back Ben Stiller and the characters from New York’s Museum of Natural History for another round of laughs. This time around, the gang journey to the British Museum of Natural History in London to get to the bottom of the mystery surrounding the Golden Tablet of Pharaoh Akhmenrah, which is suddenly losing its powers.
