Avengers: Endgame is in cinemas, pleasing fans and critics alike and by all accounts it delivers a perfect ending to 10 years of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The three hour epic is a fun, entertaining and highly-emotional experience with tonnes of fan service moments that we will remember for years to come.
As a story, the film is pretty complete and the Russos and Marvel Studios have not disappointed in the slightest but as fans we do wish we got to see some key scenes with key characters played out. By the way, if you haven’t seen the film yet, it’s best to turn back now because its filled with spoilers.
Although it would seem impossible to see some of these come to light in Endgame, as fans we can’t help but imagine what could have been if these moments were somehow squeezed in into the film somewhere, or perhaps somewhere down the line.

Hulk- Thanos Rematch
Their first tango didn’t favour the green giant as he was resoundingly
beaten by the mad titan. It would have been cool to see Hulk gets some payback
on Thanos minus some of the Infinity Stones he was sporting in the opening
minutes of Infinity War.
Unfortunately, Hulk ended up missing the whole final battle following his
injury wielding the Infinity Gauntlet.

Captain America Meets The Red Skull
At the end of the film, Captain America is tasked on returning the Infinity Stones to their respective places. One of the places he has to journey to is Vormir to return the Soul Stone, which is guarded by one-time arch nemesis, The Red Skull. What transpires between the two will now only be left up to our imagination.

The Black Widow In the Girl Power Scene
The final battle at the tail end of Endgame has a tonne of fan service moments, including one that involves pretty much the main female heroes of the MCU. The scene was not only cool but also an important one at that as it showcased that Marvel is not without some solid, strong female character, minus of course one of the MCU’s most important one. Yes, the Black Widow did feature in a pivotal scene in the movie but not having the character there at that moment does sting a little.

Loki’s Return
Yes, the character is dead (or is he?). With the Avengers botching up the Tesseract heist mid-way through, leaving Loki to disappear; one wonders if the God of Mischief has once again cheated death. Secretly we were hoping he made an appearance during the epic battle scene, saving his brother Thor, to whom the God of Thunder can reaffirm that Loki is indeed, ‘the worst brother ever’.

Fit Thor
Chubby Thor was the centrepiece of many jokes in Endgame and it delivers a unique spin on the character, who has clearly grown to be one of the MCU’s most developed heroes. But seeing as this is the last romp of the OG Avengers, not seeing Thor in his prime in the last hurrah with Iron Man and Captain America just seems a little out of place.

Nick Fury In Battle
He got turned to dust in Infinity War but he ultimately shows up at Stark’s funeral. But the former director of SHIELD was noticeably missing from the end battle against Thanos and his army. Having good ol’ Nick in the midst shooting off some guns or a rocket launcher would have been pretty righteous.

The Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
We’re not sure where this series is at the moment and S.H.I.E.L.D. has been somewhat disbanded. But seeing the Heli Carrier de-cloak and lend some massive firepower to the heroes’ side would have made a nice cameo.
