Netflix’s Daredevil Season 2 is currently in production and it’s already gaining huge momentum. In the first photo release we not only get to see the return of the ‘Man Without Fear’ but also the arrival of The Punisher. Series regulars, Charlie Cox, Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, Rosario Dawson and Scott Glenn make their return in Daredevil Season 2 but they’ll be joined by new cast members, Jon Bernthal and Elodie Yung who will portray Frank Castle and Elektra respectively. Daredevil Season 2 will also reportedly have a Luke Cage cameo as well.
Introducing Colossus
We’re months away from seeing Deadpool on the big screen in his first full-length solo movie outing. And joining the merc-with-a-mouth in his big screen adventure is a number of mutants from the X-Men stable. The most notable addition is none other than Colossus, portrayed by Serbian actor, Stefan Kapicic. According to recent reports, Kapicic replaced actor Andre Tricoteux in portraying the Russian mutant on the X-Men spinoff.
Independence Day: Resurgence Comic Book
ID4 fans eager to find out what transpired between the events of Independence Day and Independence Day: Resurgence may want to consider picking up a copy of the book series from Titan Comics. Apparently the prequel comic book will help address the 20-year gap between the events of the first film and the sequel due out summer 2016. The book will apparently focus on an encounter with an alien vessel by a U.S. submarine beneath the Atlantic Ocean, which could provide clues to the upcoming sequel.
Star Wars Crosses USD1 Billion
It really comes as no surprise to see Star Wars: The Force Awakens crossing the USD1 billion mark but it’s certainly eye-opening to see how fast the film crossed that barrier. In fact it just surpassed Jurassic World to become the fastest film to cross USD1 billion worldwide. With two weekends in a row on top of the number one position, it remains to be seen if Star Wars will have the legs to surpass Avatar (USD 2.7 billion) as the number one box-office film of all time.
The Rock Is Heading To WrestleMania
Despite packing in a tight filming schedule, action star Dwayne Johnson is set to make an appearance at WrestleMania 32 on 3rd April 2016. Initially the pro-wrestler turn actor wasn’t supposed to make the PPV event of the year owing to filming commitments on the big screen adaptation of Baywatch. However, The Rock has evidently made time to grace the show by announcing on Instagram that ‘The People’s Champ is coming home to do 3 things with THE PEOPLE: Set an ALL-TIME attendance record, ELECTRIFY Dallas like never before & make all time #WRESTLEMANIA history.’
