Paramount is shaking up their film schedules in a big way. Possibly faced by some recent disappointments at the box-office, the studio is re-planning their scheduled releases for the year. The first notable casualty is World War Z 2, which has been postponed indefinitely. The sequel to the zombie film was due to be released mid-summer 2017 but now a 2019 release seems more possible. Also on the shelf is the proposed Friday the 13th reboot, which has been in development since 2013.
Thanos Confirmed As Big Bad
Avengers: Infinity War will see Thanos as the main villain according to Marvel head honcho, Kevin Feige. Thus far, the character has been making subtle appearances in several Marvel films, mostly within the end credits scenes, with the exception of Guardians of the Galaxy. With Marvel raising the stakes in what could be the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s biggest film to date, saving the mad titan for this massive superhero ensemble movie is undoubtedly a key move. Avengers: Infinity War is currently in production and is targeted for release in May 2018.

Samurai Jack Returns
Adult Swim has released the first trailer for the new Samurai Jack series. According to the official synopsis, the show will take place 50 years after we las saw Samurai Jack and time has not been kind to him. Aku has destroyed every time portal and Jack has stopped aging, a side effect of time travel. It seems he is cursed to just roam the land for all eternity.
