The Flash has been hugely successful for the CW Network to the point that it has been renewed for a second season. And with the series constantly introducing characters from the comic book universe such as the Reverse Flash, it shouldn’t surprise anyone that Wally West is set to be introduced in the second season. Executive producers Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg revealed that they plan on introducing Wally West’s story line in Season 2. Could this hint that eventually West could run as The Flash sometime in the near future?
JACK HUSTON IS THE CROW
The search for The Crow has ended now that actor Jack Huston has been cast as Eric Draven in the upcoming remake. The announcement was made by creator, James O’Barr. Huston who was previously seen in Boardwalk Empire stepped into the role several months after Luke Evans dropped out from the project. According to O’Barr, The Crow remake will have closer ties to the comic book origins than the 1994 film, which starred Brandon Lee as Eric Draven a.k.a. The Crow.
THOSE MARVEL COSTUMES
One of the major gripes fans have had with the new Daredevil series and Fantastic Four reboot is the omission of the characters’ signature costumes. Although each production seems to be towing the line based on realism, admittedly it’s left some fans wanting to see their favourite heroes in their signature outfits. However, Miles Teller who plays Reed Richards a.k.a. Mr. Fantastic has confirmed that those FF blue costumes will indeed appear in the movie at some point. Daredevil showrunner, Steven S. DeKnight has also admitted that Daredevil will don his familiar red and horned costume at some point down the road as well. Let’s see if he’s telling the truth on that one.
SHARKNADO 3
Yes, they’ve made another one and they’ve even titled it, Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No!. That’s basically the idea behind SyFy and The Asylum for the third instalment of the film series, which will once again revolve around shark spewing tornados. Franchise starts Ian Ziering and Tara Reid are also returning to the film, which is now set in Washington. Like previous instalments, Sharknado 3 will also feature a number of cameos including David Hasselhoff, Mark Cuban, Jerry Springer and WWE Superstar Chris Jericho. Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No! will be released 22 July 2015.
THE DEADPOOL LOGO
Ryan Reynolds gave fans a sneak peek of the Deadpool movie logo with a recent on-set Tweet. We’re not sure if the chair logo might make it as the official movie logo but it is good news for fans to say the least as the long-gestating X-Men spin-off looks to be finally underway. Deadpool, which is produced by 20th Century Fox has begun filming in Vancouver, Canada and will see Reynolds star as Wade Wilson a.k.a. Deadpool. He will be joined by Morena Baccarin who will reportedly portraying Vanessa Carlyle a.k.a. Copycat. Also appearing in the film are T.J. Miller who is playing sidekick Weasel and former MMA Fighter Gina Carano as Angel Dust.
