Blumhouse and Universal Pictures have pencilled in a 2020 release date for the Invisible Man film, which will be helmed by Leigh Whannell. The film, which is part of Universal’s monster franchise, is set to star Elisabeth Moss and Storm Reid.  The creature feature will be a standalone adventure and not linked to the Dark Universe, which was canned following the lacklustre response to The Mummy. The new Invisible Man film is said to be taking on a lower budget approach with more character development, which are the hallmarks of Blumhouse productions.

    John Wick: Chapter 4
Following the stellar debut of John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum, Lionsgate has now announced that there will be a follow-up, which will land in cinemas in May 2021. No further details have been shared about John Wick: Chapter 4, which isn’t surprising since the latest film is now in cinemas. The action franchise has been a massive hit for Keanu Reeves who is enjoying a career resurgence as an action star. The latest film, directed by Chad Stahelski, raked in USD57 million at the box-office on its debut, its best showing yet for the franchise.

Falcon And Winter Soldier Series Update
With the events in Avengers: Endgame forging a new path for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, many fans are wondering what will happen to some of the characters from the franchise. Several Marvel superheroes will get a chance to shine again in their own standalone series on Disney+ such as the Falcon and Winter Soldier. The new series will see Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan reprise their roles and according to a recent report, both Daniel Brühl and Emily Van Camp may join the series as well. Both actors featured in Captain America: Civil War with Brühl portraying Baron Zemo and Camp starring as Agent Sharon Carter. The series is expected to premiere on Disney+ next August.

    First Look: The Dark Crystal
Based on The Dark Crystal, Jim Henson’s ground-breaking 1982 feature film, The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance tells of a new epic story, set many years before the events of the movie. The film sees the world of Thra dying, due to the corruption of the Crystal of Truth by the evil Skeksis. Uncovering the truth, an adventure soon unfolds as the fires of rebellion are lit and an epic battle for the planet begins. Realized using classic puppetry with cutting edge visual effects and featuring the voices of Taron Egerton, Anya Taylor-Jor as Brea and Nathalie Emmanuel, The Dark Crystal is due to premiere on Netflix on August 30, 2019.

Christopher Nolan’s Next Film Gets A Title
The new Christopher Nolan film is titled Tenet, which is being described as a globe-trotting adventure with hints of espionage. The film will see Nolan collaborate with Hereditary editor Jennifer Lame. According to reports, the film will be shot in seven countries and will star John David Washington with Robert Pattinson and Elizabeth Debicki. Also joining the cast are Dimple Kapadia,  Aaron Taylor-Johnson, and Clémence Poésy, with Michael Caine and Kenneth Branagh. Tenet is due for release in mid-July 2020.
