Blumhouse and Universal Pictures have pencilled in a 2020 release date for the Invisible Man film, which will be helmed by Leigh Whannell. The film, which is part of Universal’s monster franchise, is set to star Elisabeth Moss and Storm Reid. The creature feature will be a standalone adventure and not linked to the Dark Universe, which was canned following the lacklustre response to The Mummy. The new Invisible Man film is said to be taking on a lower budget approach with more character development, which are the hallmarks of Blumhouse productions.
