The CW has got Smallville fans excited again with news that Tom Welling will once again portray Clark Kent in an Arrowverse Crossover. The Crisis on Infinite Earths special scheduled for December and January 2020 involving Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, and Batwoman will see Welling stepping in to portray the Man of Steel once more. The actor portrayed Clark Kent from 2001 to 2011 on the hit series Smallville on WB. He will be joined by Tyler Hoechlin who also plays Superman on CW’s Supergirl.

Wes Anderson Gets His
Cast
For his latest project, The French
Dispatch, Wes Anderson has once again assembled a pretty impressive group
of talents to bring his unique vision to life on the big screen. With the
central plot being “a love letter to journalists set in an outpost of an
American newspaper in a fictional 20th-century French city”, the film will star
Benicio Del Toro, Frances McDormand, Jeffrey Wright, Adrien Brody, Timothée
Chalamet, Léa Seydoux, Tilda Swinton, Mathieu Amalric, Lyna Khoudri, Stephen
Park, Owen Wilson, and Bill Murray. The French Dispatch is scheduled for a 2020
release.

New Texas Chainsaw
Massacre
There will be a new instalment to the Texas
Chainsaw Massacre franchise thanks to Legendary Pictures. And if it all
goes according to plan, Fede Alvarez, who helmed the Evil Dead remake in 2013 may be the one to produce the new horror
flick. Although details are tight lipped
at the moment, the new film will reportedly be a direct sequel to the 1974
classic. That original American slasher film directed by Tobe Hopper depicted a
group of youths who get attacked by a deformed chainsaw-wielding lunatic.

The Craft Gets
Rebooted
Blumhouse is rebooting the witch fantasy horror drama, The Craft. The production is said to be a reimagining of the 1996
film, which revolved around a group of teenage students who dabbled in
witchcraft. Robin Tunney, Fairuza Balk, Neve Campbell and Christine Taylor
starred in the original film. The new film will star Cailee Spaeny, Gideon
Adlon, Lovie Simone and Zoey Luna. Directing the film is Zoe Lister-Jones. The Craft reboot does not have a release
date or production start date as yet.

GLOW Renewed For
Final Season
The Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling will return to Netflix for a fourth and final
season. Netflix made the announcement on the show’s official Instagram account.
The Emmy-winning and critically-acclaimed series will see Alison Brie, Betty
Gilpin, and Marc Maron reprise their roles with creators Liz Flahive and Carly
Mensch returning as showrunners. The current season of GLOW had an open ended finale with some of the core characters off
to begin their own journey. As such the setting of the series will likely
switch from Las Vegas, which was there Season 3 of the show was centred on.
