Believe it or not but the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are set for another big screen reboot from Nickelodeon. This time around the heroes in a hard shell will gain from the talents of both Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg who are producing the film. It’s been four years since we last saw the turtles in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows, which featured Megan Fox, Will Arnett, and Stephen Amell. The new CG production is intended to breathe new life into the kid-friendly TMNT franchise.

Mahershala
Ali To Star In Boxing Series
Two-time Oscar winner, Mahershala Ali is set to step into the ring and play
legendary boxer, Jack Johnson in a new HBO Limited Series. The series titled Unruly will be executive produced by Tom
Hanks. Ali will portray Johnson who became the world’s first Black heavyweight
champion in 1908. He would go on to hold the belt for seven years. The limited
series is based on Ken Burns’ documentary, ‘Unforgivable Blackness: The Rise
and Fall of Jack Johnson’ which aired on PBS.

Carl Reiner
Veteran actor and director, Carl Reiner passed on at age 98. A comedic legend
and creator of iconic shows such as The
Dick Van Dyke Show passed away due to natural causes. In his later years,
Reiner is best remembered for his role as Saul Bloom in the Ocean’s franchise which began in 2001.
He would play the character across two movies. Despite being in show business
for over six decades, Reiner remained busy in Hollywood with voice work for
animated shows such as The Cleveland Show
and Family Guy. He also voiced Carl
Reineroceros in Toy Story 4, which
was one of his last performances.

Shang-Chi
To Resume Production
After being temporarily shelved due to the coronavirus pandemic, cameras will
begin rolling again for Shang-Chi and the
Legend of the Ten Rings. Production
on the Marvel film will re-start in Australia at the end of July, which if all
goes well will see the MCU film hit cinemas in 2021. Directed by Daniel
Cretton, Shang-Chi sees Simu Liu playing the character who is a powerful
martial artist. The film will also feature and Awkwafina and Ronny Chieng with Tony
Leung taking on the mantle of the evil Mandarin.

Zachary
Levi To Play NFL Star Kurt Warner
After portraying Shazam! Zachary Levi
will now play a different kind of hero in a biopic based on NFL Hall of Famer,
Kurt Warner. The film based on Warner’s memoir, ‘All Things Possible: My Story
of Faith, Football, and the First Miracle Season’, will be directed by Jon Erwin
and Andrew Erwin. The American Football star who started out stocking shelves
in a grocery store, enjoyed a great player in the game, playing for teams such
as the St. Louis Rams, New York Giants, and the Arizona Cardinals. He was also
named a two-time NFL MVP and Super Bowl champion.
