Fresh off their accomplishment of making Avengers: Endgame the biggest movie in the world, Joe and Anthony Russo have zeroed in on their next project, which is the big screen adaptation of Battle of the Planets. The anime series also known as G-Force or Science Ninja Team Gatchaman, revolved around five young orphans who are trained to become an elite, intergalactic team who defend earth from invading aliens. The Russos haven’t confirmed if they are directing the film.

First Look: Army of
the Dead
Dave Bautista has shared the first image of the cast of Zack Snyder’s Army of the Dead. The Zombie movie is
coming to Netflix sometime next year. Bautista is leading the charge of this
horror action film, which centres on a group of mercenaries who decide to pull
off a heist in a quarantined area of Las Vegas, which is overrun with zombies.
Starring alongside Bautista are Ella Purnell, Omari Hardwick, Theo Rossi,
Garret Dillahunt, Raül Castillo, Chris D’Elia, and Ana de la Reguer.
Star Trek: Picard Trailer
CBS All Access has released the first trailer for Star Trek: Picard, which sees Patrick Stewart reprise his role as the iconic Captain from Star Trek: The Next Generation. The first look at the series hints at a nefarious plot at play, which could be Borg related that causes the retired Captain to venture back into space. The coolest bit about the new trailer is the cameo appearances of both Jeri Ryan, who portrayed Seven of Nine from Voyager and Brent Spiner, who reprises his role as Data. Star Trek: Picard will air on Amazon Prime Video outside of the U.S.

R.I.P. Rutger Hauer
A renowned icon of film, Rutger Hauer has passed away at the age of 75. The Dutch actor has had an impressive body of work in Hollywood with breakout roles in films such as Ridley Scott’s Blade Runner, where he portrayed the replicant Roy Batty opposite Harrison Ford’s Rick Deckard. Over the years Hauer would star in several projects such as Nighthawks, Ladyhawke and The Hitcher. He also portrayed memorable characters on films such as Batman Begins and on the HBO Original Series, True Blood.

Spider-Man: Far From Home Swings To A Billion
The latest Spider-Man film has officially grossed over a billion dollars at the international box-office. This all but solidifies that Marvel Studios has undoubtedly the most bankable franchise in the world at the moment. Spider-Man: Far From Home is not only the highest grossing Spidey film but also the second film from Sony to cross the billion dollar barrier after 2012’s Skyfall. Do expect Sony/Marvel Studios to announce a third instalment to the franchise soon.
