Andy Muschietti has announced that The Flash movie has officially begun filming. This is great news for fans of the Scarlett Speedster, as the film has been in languishing in development for several years. Ezra Miller is back as Barry Allen, and he will be reunited with Ben Affleck’s Batman. Also joining them for this adventure is Michael Keaton who will reprise his role as Bruce Wayne from Tim Burton’s Batman movies. The Flash will arrive in cinemas in November 2022.

Rock ‘Em Sock ‘Em Movie In The Works

Vin Diesel has lined-up a new film and it’s an adaptation of the classic toy game, Rock ‘Em Sock ‘Em. The live-action film will be produced by Universal and Mattel and will revolve around a father and son who form a bond with an advanced war machine. Honestly, it sounds like a lot like Real Steel, which was also about big fighting robots. The film is written by Ryan Engle (Rampage).  There is no news on when the film will start production or when it will be released.

Emilia Clarke Joins Marvel’s Secret Invasion

The Disney+ Marvel series Secret Invasion has secured some top talents. Joining the series is Game of Thrones star, Emilia Clarke who will star alongside Samuel L. Jackson and Ben Mendelsohn. The series also recently signed on Oscar winner Olivia Colman to the show and Kingsley Ben-Adir as well. Secret Invasion will be based on the storyline from the comics, revolving around the shape shifting aliens, the Skrulls who have infiltrated positions of power on earth.

Mad Max Prequel Furiosa To Film In 2022

The Mad Max prequel, Furiosa is primed and ready to begin filming early next year. The film will be the biggest movie shoot in the country’s history. The film will be based upon the character made famous by Charlize Theron in Mad Max: Fury Road. The actress however is not reprising the character for this story as it’s a prequel tale.  Anya Taylor-Joy will take on the mantle of the character with Chris Hemsworth in a co-starring role. The film directed by George Miller will also star Yahya Abdul-Mateen II.

Captain America 4 Is In Development

It looks like Marvel is keen on more Captain America films, despite Chris Evan retiring from the role. Following the success of The Falcon & The Winter Soldier on Disney+, it seems Marvel Studios will continue with the developments of the series. If you are not up to speed, there is a new Captain America as well as a U.S. Agent and a potential new (and unexpected) villain in the Power Broker. If the streaming success of the Disney+ series is any indication, Captain America 4 could potentially be a potential lucrative second run for the Marvel franchise.
