After the numerous false starts and hopes, HBO has finally decided to give its beloved hit western, Deadwood a proper ending. After the series was unceremoniously axed after a third open-ended season, fans have been campaigning for a follow-up. Now at the recent Television Critics Association press event, HBO President of Programming Casey Bloys confirmed a Deadwood movie, which will serve up a continuation of the David Milch series. The original cast consisting of Timothy Olyphant, Ian McShane and John Hawkes are expected to reprise their roles.
Emma Thompson Returns To Men in Black
The upcoming Men in Black spinoff/soft reboot will have a familiar face from the original series. Emma Thompson, who portrayed Agent 0 in the 2012’s Men in Black 3, will return to reprise her role as the head of the MiB. Thompson’s inclusion should be good news for fans of the franchise as it creates a link to the original series and this one. Perhaps if the new film is a smash hit, we may well see Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones to return and cross paths with the new agents played by Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson.
Alice Eve is Typhoid Mary

The character was previously played on the big screen in 2005’s Elektra by Natassia Malthe. The new version will be played by Alice Eve in the upcoming season of Iron Fist on Netflix. The character, a mutant by the way, has a connection to Daredevil in the comic books, becoming a lover and an enemy of the hero from Hell’s Kitchen. Iron Fist Season 2 drops on Netflix this September.
