The upcoming reboot of Terminator has an official title now and it’s called Terminator: Dark Fate. Directed by Tim Miller the film will be a direct follow-up to The Terminator and Terminator: Judgement Day and will reportedly ignore the films that came after that film. James Cameron returns to produce the film with Arnold Schwarzenegger and Linda Hamilton returning as the T-800 and Sarah Connor respectively. Terminator: Dark Fate shoots its way into cinemas at the end of November.
Howard The Duck Animated Series
Marvel Television is expanding on its animated properties with projects on M.O.D.O.K., Hit-Monkey, Tigra & Dazzler Show and Howard The Duck. Each series, which will be skewed towards an adult audience, will air on Hulu and will culminate in a special: Marvel’s The Offenders. The animated projects are currently being developed with no airdate scheduled as yet. Howard the Duck was previously adapted into a movie in the 1980s and most recently the character made a cameo appearance in the Guardians of the Galaxy.
Chris Evans Joins Sci-Fi Drama Infinite
It looks like Chris Evans is looking to expand on his roles as soon as the dust settles on Avengers: Endgame. The actor, who will don the shield for the last time as Captain America is in talks to lead the sci-fi drama, Infinite, which is being adapted from the novel, The Reincarnationist Papers. The film will be directed by Antoine Fuqua and will tell the story of a man who utilises the experience of his past lives to effect change in history.
Chadwick Boseman And Spike Lee Team Up
Oscar-nominated director, Spike Lee and Chadwick Boseman are partnering up for a new film, which will air on Netflix. The film, titled Da 5 Bloods, is a drama that deals with characters dealing with the aftermath of the Vietnam War. The film will centre on several African-American Vietnam veterans who return to Vietnam and learn to come to terms with each other. The project has already secured the talents of Delroy Lindo and Jean Reno. It is believed that Boseman will secure a supporting role in this film.
Josh Brolin Joins Dune
It looks like Denis Villeneuve‘s Dune remake has assembled some pretty amazing talents. In addition to both Timothée Chalamet and Zendaya joining the production, Villeneuve has also apparently secured the talents of Josh Brolin for the film as well. To date, Dune will star Rebecca Ferguson, Javier Bardem, Dave Bautista, and Oscar Isaac. Brolin will portray Gurney Halleck, who was played by Patrick Stewart in the original 1984 film.
