After 15 long seasons, The CW has finally decided to end the Supernatural series, marking the end of a truly remarkable era. The series starring Jensen Ackles and Jared Paladecki has had an amazing run beginning in 2005, dealing with horror themes, oftentimes in a comedic surrounding. In a recent announcement, the two main stars of the show along with Misha Collins confirmed the end of the series. Supernatural is currently in its 14th season, recently airing its 300th episode, which featured the return of Jeffrey Dean Morgan as the Winchester patriarch, John Winchester.

Look: Once Upon a Time in Hollywood
Columbia Pictures has released the first official
image from the upcoming Quentin Tarantino film, Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. The ninth film from the director
boasts an all-star cast with names such as Leonardo DiCaprio, Brad Pitt and
Margot Robbie. The film takes place in the 60s and centres on Charles Manson
murders. DiCaprio portrays a western TV series star with Pitt playing his stunt
double. Robbie stars as Sharon Tate, the actress who ultimately gets murdered
by the Manson cult. Once Upon a Time in
Hollywood arrives in cinemas end July 2019.

Terminator
6 Is Terminator: Dark Fate
The new Terminator
film being directed by Tim Miller has an official title and will be called,
Terminator: Dark Fate. The film is
said to be a direct sequel to Terminator
2: Judgement Day and will likely kick-start a new trilogy for the
franchise, if it catches fire at the box-office. Terminator: Dark Fate will see James Cameron step into the producer
role with franchise stars, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Linda Hamilton returning
to reprise their roles as the T-800 and Sarah Connor respectively. The film is
due for release in November 2019.

Christopher
Nolan Readies For His Next Project
After wowing audiences in Dunkirk,
Christopher Nolan is now setting his sights on a new film project. Although no
one knows what the film is about, the director has already put together some
key stars for the project. Headlining the new project are John David
Washington, Robert Pattinson and Elizabeth Debicki. Nolan’s new film is a
mystery at the moment but many speculate that it might be in the vein of a
massive action blockbuster.

Disney-Fox
Deal Complete
This week saw the official acquisition of Fox by
Disney, in a deal worth USD71 billion. The merger of the two studios will
undoubtedly shake the world of entertainment to its core and it will no doubt
play into Disney’s hands for the future. The house of Mouse will benefit from
the content acquisition as well as creative rights to some of Fox’s key assets,
allowing them to fully utilise them for their upcoming Disney+ streaming
service as well as theme parks. In terms of the Marvel Cinematic Universe,
properties such as the Fantastic Four
and the X-Men are finally heading
back to where they belong. Fox however will still live on with its news and
sports outlets.
