It looks like the crew of the Enterprise may me warping into cinemas for another big screen adventure. According to a recent report, Noah Hawley (Fargo, Legion) is stepping in to direct the installment of the franchise, which will reunite the cast of the previous three films. Star Trek 4 will see Chris Pine, Zachary Quint, Zoe Saldana and Karl Urban reprise their roles as Kirk, Spock, Uhura and Bones. Hawley’s take is said to be unrelated to the original plans for the franchise, which was supposed to involve Chris Hemsworth, who was supposed to reprise his role as George Kirk from the 2009 Star Trek film.

only the first R-rated movie to manage the feat but also stands as one of the
most profitable productions of the year. Starring Joaquin Phoenix and directed
by Todd Philips, Joker was made on a
budget of USD62.5 million and has managed to pull in over USD320 million in the
U.S. alone. The film is the seventh this year to make over a billion dollars at
the global box-office.

Furious: Spy Racers
The Fast & Furious franchise has expanded in animated form with a new
series that will debut on Netflix this December. Produced by Universal Pictures
and DreamWorks Animation, Fast &
Furious: Spy Racers, follows Tony Toretto, the cousin Dominic Toretto, who
along with his friends, are recruited by a government agency. Their mission is
to infiltrate an elite racing league serving as a front for a nefarious crime
organization called SH1FT3R bent on world domination. Fast & Furious: Spy Racers premieres on Netflix on 26 December.

Pom Klementieff Joins

Klementieff is joining the cast of Mission:
Impossible 7, starring alongside Tom Cruise in the Christopher McQuarrie
directed film. McQuarrie himself
confirmed the news in a Tweet and judging by the hashtag of #MI78, it may well
be a two-picture deal. Mission:
Impossible 7 and 8 will be filmed back to back and is set to hit screens in
2021 and 2022 respectively. A lot is riding on the next installments of the
film following the impressive box-office yield of Mission: Impossible- Fallout, which raked in nearly USD800 million
globally.

Ben Affleck To Direct
King Leopold’s Ghost
Academy Award winner, Ben Affleck will step behind the camera to direct King Leopold’s Ghost, which centres on colonialism
and human rights violations set during an important part of African history. The
film will be adapted from the book penned by Adam Hochschild, which addresses
the legacy of Belgium’s King Leopold II in the 1800s and his torrid rule in
Congo. King Leopold’s Ghost will see
Affleck telling a story of an uprising that occurs orchestrated by several key
people and the residents of Congo to retaliate against Leopold.
