Robert Downey Jr and Jude Law will reunite for the next instalment of Sherlock Holmes however, there’s a good chance that Guy Ritchie won’t be invited along for the ride. The British director’s stock at Warner Bros may have taken a tumble following the dismal outcomes of The Man from UNCLE as well as King Arthur. Plus, Ritchie is having his hands full with the live-action treatment of Aladdin. No details have been revealed with regards to Sherlock Holmes 3 but Warner Bros has pencilled in a 25 December 2020 release for the film.
The Hitman’s Bodyguard To Get Sequel
The Samuel L. Jackson and Ryan Reynolds comedy, The Hitman’s Bodyguard looks set to get a follow up. Millennium Films is looking to expand the franchise with The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard, a follow-up to the decent sized hit from 2017. The buddy-comedy actioner grossed close to USD180 million at the box-office off an USD30million budget, which is pretty decent. Patrick Hughes is set to return to direct the film as well. Millennium is also looking to produce sequels on its other properties, mainly Angel Has Fallen, The Expendables 4 and The Mechanic 3 as well.
Rambo V
Sylvester Stallone is busy reprising some of his most famous characters for the silver screen. In addition to playing Rocky Balboa again for Creed 2, the veteran action star will also portray John Rambo once again. Rambo V will see Stallone taking on writing and starring duties with a rumoured storyline pitting the war hero against a Mexican drug cartel. Rambo IV wasn’t well received by fans, despite the fact that it was loaded to the brim with gritty action scenes. Perhaps a more personal tone for Rambo V might revive the interest in this franchise. The film is scheduled to arrive in cinemas in late 2019.
