Universal Pictures has released several images of First Man, which stars Ryan Gosling as Neil Armstrong. Directed by Damien Chazelle, the film is described as a biopic that centres on the journey of Armstrong as an astronaut. The film will be a mission movie, which will address the issues of space flight. Claire Foy stars as Armstrong’s wife, Janet with Kyle Chandler, Corey Stoll, Jon Bernthal, Jason Clarke, and Ethan Embry in supporting roles. First Man arrives in cinemas in October.
Legally Blonde 3?
It looks like we just might get a trilogy to close out the Legally Blonde series. According to reports, Reese Witherspoon is in talks to reprise her role as Elle Woods in Legally Blonde 3. If the movie does get made, it will mark 15 years since the last film. Legally Blonde has been an incredible hit for Witherspoon when it was released 17 years ago. The film raked in over USD141 million at the box-office and even managed to spin-off its own successful musical.
Us And Them Trailer
Netflix has announced the premiere of Us And Them, its new Asian drama series, which launched exclusively on Netflix beginning 22 June. Us And Them tells the love story of Lin Jianqing (Jing Boran) and Fang Xiaoxiao (Zhou Dongyu). Two strangers who meet on a train heading to their hometowns during the hectic New Year period. What follows is a journey of realizing their dreams, love and breakups. Ten years later they are reunited on a plane trip home.
Jared Leto’s Joker Film
It looks like we’ll be getting another Jared Leto run as the Joker and we’re hoping it’s a better effort this time around. According to a report in Variety, Leto will star in a standalone Joker film, which is currently in development. The film will reportedly expand the world that was created in Suicide Squad and will further flesh out this particular Joker character. Although the DCEU is currently being overhauled, Warner Bros is still moving forward with more films, including the standalone Gotham City Sirens starring Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn.
First Look: Halloween
The horror franchise Halloween is getting revitalised with a new tale and they’ve invited a familiar face along for the ride. Jamie Lee Curtis returns to her iconic role as Laurie Strode, who comes to her final confrontation with Michael Myers, the masked figure who has haunted her since she narrowly escaped his killing spree on Halloween night four decades ago. The first photos from the film reveal Laurie facing off against an unwanted attack from the masked attacker. Halloween opens in cinemas in October and also stars Will Patton, Dylan Arnold, Drew Scheid, and Miles Robbins.
