According to Thor: Ragnarok director, Taika Waititi, the upcoming sequel will indeed introduce fans to Planet Hulk. In a recent interview, Waititi confirmed that Sakaar, the titular Planet Hulk, will be featured in the film. In the comic books, Hulk is banished to a warrior planet where he makes a name for himself as a gladiator. According to reports, Thor will reunite with his Avenger comrade on the planet following his quest to find his lost father Odin.
Keira Knightley Returns To Pirates
A surprise announcement no doubt but it seems that Keira Knightley will be returning to the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise. The actress who portrayed Elizabeth Swann will be appearing in Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, which is due out next year. The movie will reunite Knightley with her co-stars, Johnny Depp and Orlando Bloom who is also returning as Will Turner. Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales opens in May 2017.
Dick Van Dyke To Appear In Mary Poppins Returns
One of the original stars of Mary Poppins will be appearing in the upcoming reboot/sequel at Disney. Veteran star, Dick Van Dyke has admitted that he will be appearing in the film in a yet unannounced role. The film will take place 20 years after the original with the kids grown up. Emily Blunt is taking on the titular role and she’ll be joined by an impressive cast that includes Meryl Streep, Angela Lansbury, Colin Firth and Emily Mortimer. Mary Poppins Returns is scheduled to open in December 2018.
Justice League New Image
The latest Justice League image has been released and it showcases the three heroes that may well be the central figures in the DC superhero film. The latest photo release sees Batman, Wonder Woman and The Flash, which suggests that Superman may not feature that prominently in this adventure this time around. Zack Snyder is busy putting the finishing touches to the film, which will be released in November 2017.
The Expendables 4
Despite lacklustre box-office results in the US market, the Expendables 3 reaped a hefty pull at the global box-office. As such, it’s now being reported that there will be another instalment to the action franchise. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Expendables 4 is expected to arrive in cinemas in 2018 and it may well be the final instalment to the franchise. No official word regarding the production or its cast members has been released as yet.
