The Netflix series, Narcos has been an immense hit for the streaming channel and it’s certainly no surprise to see that the Pablo Escobar drama has been renewed for two more seasons. Fresh off season two’s premiere on the channel, Netflix has announced that Narcos will continue in order to whet fans’ appetites. The series which chronicles the rise and fall of notorious drug kingpin Pablo Escobar has resonated well with fans ever since the first season premiered in August last year.
Walking Dead Season 7 Posters
The upcoming season of the Walking Dead is set to be a ratings hit following Season 6’s epic cliff-hanger. Eager to please fans, AMC has released two new posters that will lead up to Season 7’s big reveal. Fans are wondering, which beloved character from Rick’s group finds the wrong side of the bat of season 7’s new baddie, Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan). We don’t have to wait that long though as the Walking Dead Season 7 is due to air in late October.
Shanghai Sequel Is Greenlit
The Jackie Chan ‘Shanghai’ western franchise will continue with a new sequel, which will be helmed by Napoleon Dynamite director, Jared Hess. According to reports, the action buddy comedy concept is expected to continue with both Chan and Owen Wilson reprising their roles. The title of the film, which is called Shanghai Dawn could mean a final chapter of the trilogy. Both Shanghai Noon and Shanghai Knights were decent box-office hits although it has been more than 15 years since the last film.
Johnny Depp Joins Labyrinth
More accustomed to playing more eccentric roles and characters, Johnny Depp is now honing his talents with something a bit more down to earth. Depp will reportedly portray real life detective, Russell Poole who was instrumental in the investigation of the assassinations of both rappers, Tupac Shakur and Biggie Smalls. The movie, named Labyrinth is based on a book penned by journalist Randall Sullivan in relations to the investigation of the murders.
Angela Lansbury And Game Of Thrones
One of the biggest television news of the week centred on the involvement of a veteran actress and HBO’s Game of Thrones. However now it has been reported that the former star of Murder She Wrote would have a guest starring role in season 7 of the hit HBO series. The news was wrongly report in the press following news that veteran actor, Jim Broadbent was joining the production. Although it would have been interesting to see the90-year-old actress on the small screen again, it looks like for now, we have to rely on Murder She Wrote reruns instead.
