The upcoming Zorro reboot titled, Z will introduce a new masked hero, which will be played by Gael Garcia Bernal. The actor will portray the titular character in a film, which will be directed by Jonas Cuaron. The film however will not be a throwback to the Mexican-based western classic but rather set in the near future. No production date for the film has been set as yet.
Predator 4 To Begin Filming
Director Shane Black has officially announced that production on the new Predator film will begin in October. Predator 4 will reportedly link the original film with 1990’s Predator 2 and 2010’s Predators and is said to be the biggest movie in the franchise thus far. Black will helm the film, which is rather fitting considering he starred in the original film with Arnold Schwarzenegger. Predator 4 is scheduled for a release in March 2018.
MIB 23 Gets Director
Muppets Most Wanted and Alice Through the Looking Glass director, James Bobin has been confirmed to direct the upcoming 21 Jump Street–Men in Black crossover, MIB23. The film will unite two of Sony’s most successful comedy franchises and will reportedly star Channing Tatum and Jonah Hill with new stars set to join the MIB franchise to give the series a soft reboot of sorts. No release date or production date has been given for MIB23 yet.
Vice Principals Teaser
HBO has a new comedy series brewing and it has got some pretty impressive star power. Vice Principals is scheduled to debut in July and it stars Walton Goggins, Danny McBride and Bill Murray. The series follows a principal who is about to retire and two vice principals who are jockeying to replace him. Goggin and McBride are the headliners for this HBO comedy with Murray likely playing a recurring character in the series.
Wonder Woman Wraps Production
The DC standalone Wonder Woman film has wrapped production. The announcement was made by star Gal Gadot on Facebook. “Today was my last day shooting the solo Wonder Woman movie! It’s been such an amazing, exciting, dreamy, happy and fascinating experience I will cherish it forever. Thank you to everyone who was involved, our amazing cast, crew and phenomenal director,” posted the actress. The cast and crew are currently in Italy for the final run of shoots, which should put the film on schedule for its summer 2017 release.
