Despite a bunch of actors linked to the role of Cable, Josh Brolin has earned the approval of FOX to star as the mutant warrior. Brolin will be taking on the mantle of the superhero in Deadpool 2 and beyond, depending on how the studio intends to expand its mutant universe on the big screen. It will be interesting to see what the actor brings to the production, which is known for breaking down the fourth wall. And it will be interesting to see how Deadpool 2 will address Brolin who is also playing Thanos in Avengers: Infinity War.
Dwayne Johnson Signs On For Jungle Cruise
isney is looking adapt another iconic theme park attraction into a full-length feature and they’ve asked Dwayne Johnson to come along for the ride. A film based on Jungle Cruise has been greenlit by Disney with production slated to begin next year. Johnson is currently one of the busiest actors in Hollywood with projects such as Rampage, Skyscraper and Black Adam about to begin filming. He will also feature in Baywatch as well as Jumanji due out later this year.
14 Transformers Films In The Works
Believe it or not, there will be a lot more Transformers films to keep fans happy in the next ten years or so. If all goes according to plan, Michael Bay is looking to keep the franchise going with 14 more movies. The director revealed that his writing team has already mapped out further adventures for the Transformers and despite The Last Knight being his last, the future of the franchise looks to be healthy for now.
Cameras Roll For Mission: Impossible 6
Production has officially started for the next instalment to the Mission: Impossible franchise. Director Christopher McQuarrie who previously directed Rogue Nation shared the good news on his Twitter feed. Mission: Impossible 6 is currently filming on location in Paris and will star Tom Cruise as well as new addition to the franchise, Henry Cavill. The espionage thriller is set to open in cinemas in summer 2018.
Jude Law Is Dumbledore
The search for the new Dumbledore is over with Jude Law taking on the mantle of the beloved wizard. Law will star as the young version of the character in the sequel to Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, which is part of the Harry Potter universe. Joining him on screen as his adversary is Johnny Depp, who was revealed as Gellert Grindelwald at the end of the first film. Albus Dumbledore was previously played by the late Richard Harris and Michael Gambon in the Harry Potter series.
