It looks like Malaysia won’t be getting its very own Fox theme park after all, now that Genting Malaysia Berhad is suing Disney and Fox for USD1.75 billion. The lawsuit stems from the fact that 21st Century Fox has issued a demand that the theme park open within 30 days, which is impossible. The deal was struck by Genting and Fox in 2013 with the FOX World Theme Park set to be the first Fox branded theme park in the world. The park was initially supposed to be opened in late 2017, before the date was shifted to 2019.

David Harbour Rocks It as Hellboy
hellboy_D_HarbourThe latest photo release from Neil Marshall’s Hellboy reboot sees David Harbour channelling the titular hero in fine form. Marshall’s take on the character is said to be more in line with the comic book’s horror-infused roots. It will be interesting to see how Marshall and Harbour measure up to Guillermo del Toro and Ron Perlman’s take on the character. We’ll find out soon enough when Hellboy arrives in cinemas in mid-April 2019. The film also stars Ian McShane as Professor Bruttenholm and Milla Jovovich as the Blood Queen.

The CW Prepares For Elseworlds

The worlds of Arrow, The Flash and Supergirl are going to be rocked to the core during the three-night crossover titled Elseworlds. Despite the Arrowverse being tossed on its head with characters being swapped and the Legends of Tomorrow, nowhere in sight, the crossover event should be a fun watch. Elseworlds will also most importantly introduce viewers to Batwoman, which will be played by Ruby Rose. Catch the crossover event beginning with The Flash on 9th December followed by Arrow on 10th December and Supergirl on 11th December.

Zoey Deutch Joins Zombieland 2
zombieland_deutchStar of Netflix’s Set It Up and Vampire Academy, Zoey Deutch has now joined the cast of Zombieland 2. The film, which sees Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Emma Stone and Abigail Breslin reprising their roles from the first film, will reportedly take place several years after Zombieland with Columbus, Tallahassee, Wichita and Little Rock facing off against a new horde of zombies, which have evolved along with a new group of human survivors. Zombieland 2 is scheduled for an October 2019 release.

Candyman Sequel In The Works
CandymanMGM’s cult horror franchise, Candyman is set to be revived with Jordan Peele serving as producer. The original film, which was adapted from a Clive Barker short story, saw Tony Todd starring as a vengeful spirit who returns to wreak havoc after victims recite the name Candyman several times in front of a mirror. The horror reboot is set to be directed by Nia DaCosta. Horror reboots seem to be the rage in Hollywood with films like Child’s Play and Friday the 13th set to be revitalised in the near future.

SpongeBob SquarePants Creator Passes Away
spongebob_movieStephen Hillenburg, who created the undersea world of Bikini Bottom in the hit animated franchise, SpongeBob SquarePants has passed away at age 57, owing to Lou Gehrig’s disease, also known as ALS. The talented artist delighted audiences with his characters such as SpongeBob, Patrick and Mr. Krabs. Hillenburg created the animated series in 1999, which ran for several seasons and was even adapted into a couple of hit movies along with a successful Broadway show as well.
