Bar any delays, Denis Villeneuve’s Dune will head to cinemas by the end of the year. In anticipation of the Sci-Fi reboot, Warner Bros. has released a first look image from the production, featuring Timothee Chalamet. Principal photography of Frank Herbert’s science-fiction epic wrapped last year, so Dune should stick to its official release date in December. Dune will see Chalamet playing Paul Atreides, the lead character in the film. The first image shared by Warner Bros sees Atreides on his home planet of Caladan. Chalamet will also be joined by a stellar cast made up off Rebecca Ferguson, Oscar Isaac, Josh Brolin, Stellan Skarsgard, Zendaya, Jason Momoa and Dave Bautista.

Best of all it also tees up the streaming giant to compete with more established studios such as Disney and WarnerMedia who own Marvel and DC respectively.
