Disney+
Nears 30 Million Subscribers
It looks like the new Disney+ streaming service is doing pretty well for itself
as it inches towards a 30 million subscriber base. It achieved the feat in a
span of three months, having made its debut in selected markets in November
2019. Although it pales in comparison with the numbers Netflix has at the
moment, Disney should grow its base when the service rolls out globally.
Disney+ will also receive a boost when season two of The Mandalorian airs in October, followed by the roll out of Marvel
series, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier
and WandaVision later this year.

Texas
Chainsaw Massacre Reboot (Again)
Looks like another reboot of The Texas
Chainsaw Massacre is in the works. Legendary Pictures has tapped Ryan and
Andy Tohill (The Dig) to direct the film. The original film was first released
in the mid-70s and it focused on a group of friends who encounter a family of
cannibals in the middle of Texas. The film went on to become a classic, forever
immortalising the chainsaw-wielding Leatherface into a horror icon. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre spawned
three sequels with a reboot film in 2003, which led to an additional three more
films.
