Making his promotional rounds for Mission: Impossible-Rogue Nation, Tom Cruise admitted that he had an idea for a sequel to Edge of Tomorrow. Apparently the actor admitted that he pitched the idea to director Doug Liman and screenwriter, Christopher McQuarrie and he has already asked Emily Blunt about reprising her role form the film. Edge of Tomorrow was one of the surprise hits of 2014 and it was by far one of the best sci-fi actioners of the last year, depicting a hero who is stuck repeating the same day over again during an alien invasion.
The 18-Foot Millennium Falcon
Hot Toys is at it again, and this time they’ve built a scale model of Han Solo’s ride. What you see before you is an 18-foot scale model of the Millennium Falcon, which was unveiled at Ani-Com and Games Hong Kong (ACGHK) recently. No one knows if this baby’s for sale but it’s an impressive feat to say the least considering the sheer size of what is actually a toy vehicle. Hot Toys is no stranger to building oversized vehicles in the past, but this one takes the cake.
Supergirl Episode 2
The new Supergirl pilot hasn’t aired yet but CBS has already green lit a full season of the superhero series. Production is underway at the moment and eagle eyed fans have spotted the Girl of Steel on set lifting an ambulance. The CBS series stars Melissa Benoist as Kara Zor-El who embraces her Kryptonian heritage to become a superhero. The series also boasts some familiar faces from the Supergirl and Superman series of yesteryear, namely the original supergirl herself, Helen Slater and Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman’s Dean Cain. Both are reportedly playing Supergirl’s earth parents in the series.
Tao Okamoto Role Revealed
We’ve seen her in The Wolverine and we know she’s got a role in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and now it’s been revealed that Tao Okamoto will be starring as none other than Mercy Graves in the DC production. Comic book fans will recognise the name as Lex Luthor’s personal chauffeur/ body guard but it looks as if Graves’ role might be reduced to that of Lex’s personal assistant instead. Will we see Okamoto kick butt in the production or will she just be eye candy? Either way we can’t complain.
Game of Thrones To End At Season 8?
Season 6 of Game of Thrones is currently underway and as fans wait for the epic continuation of the series, HBO has revealed that they may be looking to continue the series for two more seasons. “Seven seasons and out was never the case. The question is how much beyond (seven seasons) it will go,” said HBO president Michael Lombardo during a recent press tour. “Creators and Showrunners David (Benioff) and Dan (Weiss) are feeling there are two more years after Season 6, that’s what we’re looking at right now. We hope that they would change their mind, but that’s how they are feeling now.”
