After being delayed a couple of times, Marvel Studios has now decided to bump Black Widow to May 2021, a whole year after its original release date. The standalone adventure starring Scarlett Johansson isn’t the only production that has been shifted. The Eternals film, originally scheduled for November has been pushed to November 2021 with Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings now scheduled to open in July 2021 instead of February 2021. The sequel to Spider-Man: Far From Home is also scheduled to arrive in December next year.

Cena To Star In Peacemaker Series For HBO Max
James Gunn’s The Suicide Squad is
scheduled for release in August next year but already there seems to be a lot
of buzz surrounding the DC superhero film. The latest news is that John Cena
who stars as Peacemaker in the film will be getting his own spinoff series on
HBO Max. The eight episode series is due to start production next year and will
be written and produced by Gunn. The Peacemaker
series will reportedly be centred on the origins of the character, an advocate
of peace who will go through great means, even killing to achieve it.

Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance Is Cancelled
Despite bringing in the award for Best Children’s Program at the recent Emmys,
Netflix has decided to can The Dark
Crystal: Age of Resistance after just one season. The puppet show produced
by the Jim Henson Company, was a prequel to the 1982 Jim Henson-directed Dark
Crystal. The series followed three Gelflings and their attempt to stop the rise
of the monstrous Skeksis. The series boasted an impressive voice cast made up
off Taron Egerton, Nathalie Emmanuel and Anya Taylor-Joy.

Boys 3 Directors To Helm Ms. Marvel Series
The Disney+ Ms.
Marvel series will see Bad Boys 3
directing duo Adil El Arbi and Bilall Fallah helming and episode or two. The
upcoming Marvel superhero series is based on the character of Ms. Marvel, which was first created in
1977. The superhero boasted powers similar to Captain Marvel with the latest iteration of the hero featuring a
Pakistani-American teenager named Kamala Khan. In all likelihood, Marvel
Studios will focus on the latest version of the character for this new Disney+
series.

Supergirl
To End With Season 6
The CW series Supergirl will
reportedly end with its six season, which is due to air sometime next year. The
series, which is led by Melissa Benoist, will draw to a close following the hit
series Arrow, which drew to a close
this year. Although Supergirl is departing The CW’s Arrowverse, there will be
no shortage of superhero shows to keep fans occupied. The channel still has The Flash, Legends of Tomorrow and Black
Lightning as well as the upcoming Superman
and Lois series and a newly-cast Batwoman, which should keep fans happy.
