Tom Holland will get a familiar co-star for Spider-Man 3 with news that Benedict Cumberbatch reportedly joining the production as Doctor Strange. This should bode well for fans of the Marvel Cinematic Universe with the two heroes set to reunite on the big screen once more. Cumberbatch’s role as Doctor Strange is expected to be in a mentorship capacity, similar in vein to the parts of Robert Downey Jr.’s Iron Man and Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury played in the previous two films. Interestingly, Spider-Man 3 may also see the inclusion of Jamie Foxx’s Electro, a part he played in 2014’s The Amazing Spider-Man 2.

Netflix Cancels GLOW
Bad news for fans of the Gorgeous Ladies of Wrestling (GLOW) as Netflix has decided to can the hit series. The comedy series centred around a group of female pro-wrestlers who try to make it in the squared circle in the 80s. The series featured Alison Brie, Betty Gilpin, and Marc Maron in the lead roles. What’s even more shocking is that GLOW was initially renewed for season four, unfortunately due to implications brought upon by the COVID-19 shutdown; Netflix has decided to cancel the series altogether, leaving fans hanging after the season three cliff-hanger.

Dune Is Delayed To 2021
Denis Villeneuve’s Dune is the latest Hollywood flick that has been postponed. Warner Bros. has decided to move the sci-fi remake off its December 2020 release date to October 2021. Although disappointing, movie fans have slowly learnt to roll with the punches with these delays and postponement of films due to the health pandemic. So far only a handful of films like Tenet and Mulan have managed to open in cinemas, and even that with somewhat disappointing box-office results.  Warner Bros. is still looking to release Wonder Woman 1984 in December but we expect that one to be pushed back too, considering how things are going across the globe.

Netflix Announces New Godzilla Project
Following their success of the Godzilla anime trilogy, Netflix is now ramping up new project, which centres on the beloved Kaiju lizard.  Godzilla Singular Point, a new anime series, will premiere on the streaming platform next year. The new project will not be related to the current Godzilla features on Netflix, namelyGodzilla: Planet of the Monsters, Godzilla: City on the Edge of Battle and Godzilla: The Planet Eater. The new series will boast the talents of Atsushi Takahashi who will serve as director with animation produced by renowned studios Bones and Orange.

The Addams Family Gets An Animated Sequel
After scoring impressively at the box-office last year, MGM will give fans more of The Addams Family with a brand new sequel. Featuring the voices of Oscar Isaac, Charlize Theron, Chloe Grace Moretz and Finn Wolfhard, the computer animated film revitalised the dark comedy franchise for a new audience. The Addams Family 2 will arrive in cinemas in Halloween 2021 with Conrad Vernon and Greg Tiernan returning to helm the film. The Addams Family began as a hit 60s comedy show before it was remade into two-highly successful live-action films in the 90s.
