Brendan Gleeson is playing President Donald Trump in the mini-series, The Comey Rule, which will premiere in late November on Showtime. The series is set to premiere after the U.S. election and will revolve around the events surrounding the 2016 Presidential Election. The Comey Rule is based on the best-selling book ‘A Higher Loyalty’ penned by former FBI director James Comey. Jeff Daniels also stars in the series, playing the former FBI director. The Comey Rule also stars Holly Hunter, Scoot McNairy, Jonathan Banks and Peter Coyote.

Isaac To Headline Lionsgate Thriller
Ben Stiller will direct the new Lionsgate thriller, London, which is based on a short story by Norwegian crime writer
Jo Nesbo, who authored crime novels such as The
Snowman and Headhunters. Oscar
Isaac is set to be the lead of the story from scrip writer Eric Roth. This
marks Stiller’s fifth directorial effort but his first as a thriller. No plot
details on London have been revealed
as yet. A release date has also not been given by Lionsgate for the production.
The
Oscars Get Delayed
The coronavirus pandemic has not only delayed a number of big film productions
but it has now also caused the delay of the Academy Awards. The 93rd
edition of the Oscars will now take place on 25 April 2021, a delay from its
original date of 28 February. This marks the first delay for the award ceremony
in four decades but it is necessary to allow more films to vie for contention
for the accolades at play. The Oscars aren’t the only film awards ceremony that
will be delayed, the BAFTA awards will now also move to 11 April from their
original 28 February date.

Stewart To Play Princess Diana
Charlie’s Angels and Twilight star, Kristen Stewart will
portray Princess Diana in a new biopic. The drama, titled Spencer, will be directed by Pablo Larraín. The film will not be an
entirely based on the life of the Princess but rather on the weekend leading up
to her decision of ending her marriage to Prince Charles which of course
negated her chance of being Queen. It will be interesting to see Stewart flex
her dramatic talents in this film following her vast body of work in recent
times. She not only took on a comedic/action role in Charlie’s Angels but also starred in the horror thriller, Underwater earlier this year.
Zack Snyder Reveals New Justice League Teaser
The interest behind the Snyder Cut of Justice League is growing by the day as fans will ultimately get a clearer picture of the film that was intended by director Zack Snyder on HBO Max next year. Frankly it is a shame that we didn’t get to see the original version of the film, which could have paved the way for the continuation of the DCEU, which although wasn’t perfect but had already begun to slowly take shape. To whet the appetites of fans, Snyder has revealed a short teaser for the upcoming film, featuring Darkseid!
