Gemini
Man Facing A USD75 Million Loss
The Will Smith actioner, Gemini Man,
which sees an assassin taking on his younger self is facing a USD75 million
loss. The film, directed by Ang Lee, failed to find an audience when it was
released last week, garnering only USD118 million at the box-office. Although
100-plus million is still a sizeable sum, the film reportedly cost Paramount,
Skydance, Fosun, and Alibaba USD140 million to make plus an additional USD100
million for marketing. This would mean that Gemini
Man would have some ways to go at the box-office just to break even.
