Production is certainly moving forward on the Baywatch reboot starring Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron. Now the production has announced that actress Alexandra Daddario will join the film portraying an iconic character from the series. Daddario will play Summer who was originally played by Nicole Eggert and Johnson has also taken to social media to announce that Baywatch will soon announce who will portray Pamela Anderson’s iconic character, CJ Parker as well. Incidentally, both Daddario and Johnson previously collaborated on the 2015 summer hit, San Andreas.
First Look: Resident Evil: The Final Chapter
The final instalment to the Resident Evil franchise is currently in production and its set to bring the iconic horror-video game franchise to a close. Picking up immediately after the events in Resident Evil: Retribution, the film will see Alice returning to where the nightmare began – Raccoon City, where the Umbrella Corporation is gathering its forces for a final strike against the only remaining survivors of the apocalypse. Franchise star, Milla Jovovich shared a first look at the upcoming film portraying an older version of her character. Is this a result of accelerated aging or a flashback of sorts for Alice?
Now You See Me 2 Teaser
The Four Horseman are back for a second mind-bending adventure. Jesse Eisenberg, Woody Harrelson, Dave Franco and Mark Ruffalo are joined by new addition, Lizzy Caplan and Daniel Radcliffe. The first teaser sees the illusionists elevate the limits of stage illusion to new heights and taking them around the globe. The film is set to take place one year after outwitting the FBI and winning the public’s adulation with their Robin Hood-style magic spectacles, the illusionists resurface for a comeback performance in hopes of exposing the unethical practices of a tech magnate.
MIB 4 Confirms Female Lead
Men in Black 4 producer, Laurie MacDonald has revealed that the upcoming sequel will have a female agent in the lead role. According to a recent interview with BBC News Beat, MacDonald spoke about the upcoming film where she admitted that Sony is looking to have a prominent woman in black in the fourth instalment. Co-producer Walter F. Parkes also chimed in on the subject revealing that they’re not counting franchise star Will Smith’s involvement in the film as well. MIB 4 is currently in development.
Fantastic Four 2 Pulled
The Fantastic Four reboot was a bitter pill to swallow for 20th Century Fox. The reimagined superhero film was not only a sensational flop but it was widely criticised as well. Now it’s been revealed that despite claims that the studio wants to move forward with a sequel, Fox has apparently pulled Fantastic Four 2 from its initial scheduled release of June2017 with no projected date pencilled in as yet. The film wasn’t a total loss for Fox though as it managed to regroup over USD160 million in overseas box receipts.
