The Rock a.k.a. Dwayne Johnson is set to receive a huge pay day for the upcoming actioner, Red Notice, with Universal Pictures and Legendary Entertainment. The film will reportedly be an all-original actioner, which could potentially kick start a franchise.
Johnson has had a stellar run in Hollywood and has emerged as one of the most influential stars at the box-office. Jumanji 2 is still soaring up the film charts pulling in over USD850 million and counting at the global box-office. It’s probably not surprising then to find out that The Rock will be paid USD20 million for a starring role in Red Notice, which is being tapped as a globe-trotting heist-thriller.
Although there’s no production date set yet for Red Notice, this will further add on to the busy schedule Johnson is having. Fresh off rolling out Jumanji 2 in late December, the star has also wrapped production for Rampage as well as Skyscraper, his two big offerings this year.
He will also be focusing on his upcoming Fast and Furious spinoff with Jason Statham, set for release in 2019 and the Black Adam film as well.
