    The Queen Playlist On Spotify

    Queen is undoubtedly one of the greatest rock bands of all time, and it has been 23 years since the band issued their final album. Their iconic performance at the 1985’s Live Aid concert that had the crowd gone wild is forever etched in memory. That performance, led by their flamboyant frontman Freddie Mercury was even referred to as one of the band’s greatest moments in history.

    Whether you are a super fan of Queen or just getting to know the band, you can check out the This is Queen tracks on Spotify and have a listen to their signature eclectic mix of heavy metal and glam rock music. Here are some fun facts about some of Queen’s greatest hits:

    Bohemian Rhapsody:
    The song just recently turned 43. Bohemian Rhapsody was first released on Oct 31, 1975. But Freddie Mercury, the lead singer and songwriter, first penned the song in 1968.

    The song is 5 minutes and 55 seconds long!

    We Are The Champions
    Freddie Mercury also wrote this song. It has now become a staple anthem for sporting events worldwide.

    Brian May’s guitar solo on the song was a last-minute addition to the track.

    We Will Rock You
    The song was released together with ‘We Are The Champions’. Whether the songs were played together or as separate tracks, the songs flows seamlessly.

    ‘We Will Rock You’ is essentially an acapella version except for the guitar solo by band member Brian May at the end.

    Here’s another fun fact: Did you know that Freddie Mercury came up with the name of the band? He also designed the band’s logo called the Queen crest.
