Jeffrey Katzenberg is about to change the landscape of TV and Entertainment with Quibi a new streaming service that centres on short form content. Unlike most streaming services, Quibi’s shows clock in ten minutes or less, making it perfect for mobile devices and viewing on the go.
Thus far, the mobile-based service is set for a roll-out in the United States, in April with both advert-free and advert options. However despite an international roll-out not announced (or discounted) as yet. There is no denying the appeal behind Quibi and what is slated to offer especially with its talented team of collaborators.

Quibi will debut Punk’d and Singled Out, two MTV shows that have been reimagined for a new audience. Idris Elba is also joining in on the fun with Elba vs. Block, in which the actor takes on pro-rally driver, Ken Block in a series of challenges.
In Thanks A Million, Jennifer Lopez, Kristen Bell and Tracy Morgan will donate USD100k towards a worthy cause. Part of the program also includes the daredevil group, Nitro Circus, who orchestrate stunts inspired by childhood toys in Life-Size Toys.
Quibi will also deliver a number of drama shows such as an updated version of The Fugitive starring Kiefer Sutherland and Survive with Sophie Turner in the lead as a plane crash survivor. Liam Hemsworth and Cristoph Waltz face off against each other in Most Dangerous Game with a Code 8 spinoff inspired by the film produced by Stephen and Robbie Amell.

There will also be a number of comedies airing on Quibi such as Varsity Blues and How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days, two shows inspired by classic films. Action star Dwayne Johnson is also on board to produce Last Resort a show centred on a Polynesian family who operates a resort in Hawaii.
Steven Spielberg will deliver a series based on spooky stories in Spielberg After Dark with Sam Raimi producing a horror anthology series, 50 States of Fright. Katzenberg himself is producing a horror-inspired series, Wolves and Villagers with Naomi Watts in the lead.
Quibi will also feature news, with Late Night This Morning, produced by EW with NBC and BBC featuring the latest news and recaps of the day’s big stories. In Fashion’s a Drag, legendary drag queen, Willam will front a fashion review talk show.
